UX

We see that the deposit feature isn’t serving the purpose of the users need and is currently causing
them to use workarounds to better suit their workflow.

Problem:

As a C1 when I am creating an estimate, I need to add a deposit, I do not want to use online payments due to the fees and extra costs for my business, and I want to be able to use my preferred payment methods. For a feature I pay for, I cannot use estimates the way I want to, therefore, I do not use estimates or I find manual other ways to cover this.

Solution:

By adding payment method options to deposit requests in estimates, C1s will be more inclined to use estimates with chosen payment methods they want to use. We believe this will help C1s not have to use bulky workarounds and increase the usage of estimates.

Once the Contractor sends the estimate to their customer, the customer receives an email to a payment portal to review the estimate digitally or via the PDF attached. Once the customer is happy with the items outlined, they can initiate the payment on the portal.
